Love & Loathe Monday!

Behind the Outfit:

Jeans:Torrid, Shoes: Old Navy, Cardi:Ross?, Shirt: Ann Taylor Loft

Loathe:

• Seafood that makes you sick, and therefore unable to thoroughly enjoy your Saturday night.
• The snow storm that froze my car doors this morning.
• People that think they know it all...(psst. they never actually do know it all)

Love:

• The sunny day that is happening right now.
• The awesome company I had while eating the bad seafood.
• The perfectly executed "Princess Birthday Party" we threw for Sister #6. She turned a big 3 years old! And it was her golden birthday, so you know we went all out!

As far as my Love&Loathes go, yes, I realize this Monday is seriously lacking.  But, you know what? Its better than nothing at all! muahaha!

Oh and the best part?

Love&Loathe ... Wednesday?

I'm behind, I know! But, like the ol' sayin goes- "better late than never!" (Work with me people!)

Loathe

- When you buy a new necklace and it breaks the first time you wear it.
- When you don’t try something on at the store and then find out that it does not fit your Texas sized hips. (because everything’s bigger in Texas ya’ll)
- Going to every Redbox within a 10 mile radius of your house, only to find that NONE of them have the movie you wanted.
- Being wayyyy behind on my bog posts because life does indeed, catch up with you. (Not hard in my case; I can't run very fast!)



Love

- When you find the perfect blazer and it just happens to go with everything!
- Getting your nails done-for FREE. Girlfriends are the best.
- When you order something online and it finally arrives. And then your elation brought on by the arrival is heightened because you love what you got even more than when you saw it on your computer screen. Buyer’s remorse be damned!
- When my bank account is as happy as I am.
- Realizing that my birthday is a mere 5 weeks away! (FYI it’s kind of a big deal)
- The fact that I never regret having a salad for lunch.
- Going to redbox two days later and finding the above mentioned movie, and watching it last night. :)

Love&Loathe Monday

Loathe:

-  When you dress for a lovely spring day, and it starts snowing hardcore by 5 pm.

- Winter nights without a snuggle buddy.

- When your red lipstick smudges and you look like a character out of a horror novel.

Love:

-When your darling sister #2 stops by your work for a surprise afternoon visit.

- When sister#3 jokingly follows a trend you’ve been seriously talking about.

- When you can come home and slip into some comfy boyfriend jeans.

- Café Rio chicken tostadas.  If you have yet to experience this culinary wonder you better get on it-Stat!

- Fabulous weekends with girlfriends, old and new.

-Facebook stalking.  This could be considered an Olympic sport for some people.

- When I say things like “Same page, same chapter, same freaking book.”

-Burlesque.

-The Burlesque soundtrack.

- Christina Aguilera’s voice on the Burlesque soundtrack.

- The fact that I have WAYYYY more Loves than Loathes today. 

- Oh yeah... and that wonderful life juice called coffeecoffeecoffee.... mmmm warms my tummy :) 

Love&Loathe Mondays: the First Edition!

The Outfit: 

Vest: F21, Shoes: Ross, Skirt: Lane Bryant, Shirt: Ross, Headband: Claires

Yes, I’m starting with the loathing instead of the loving, because I would rather end things on a fabulous note.  Wouldn’t you?  Yeah that’s what I thought!  Alright, are we ready?  Can you handle this piece of awesomeness I’m about hand you?!

Loathe:

• ·       The way Monday flies in with no mercy, and no understanding of how rough your weekend may have been.
• ·       When you go to answer the phone and it either A: falls to the desk with a crash (oh the poor ears of the person on the other end!) or B: smacks into your face like you just sassed your mom in 4^th grade.
• ·       The fact that I am pretty sure that the INSIDE of my car is colder than it is outside in the mornings
• ·       My lack of drive for Monday night homework… wouldn’t it be nice if I wanted to attack my homework the way a guy wants to attack pizza and Monday night football?
• ·       When I get an assignment that has me completely baffled beyond belief.
• ·       When I fall down the stairs … although every time I do this I do it so gracefully...don’t ask me how, I just do!

Love: 

• ·       The way the sun peeks over the mountains on my drive in to work. Surrounded by the slight haze of winter, it’s actually beautiful.
• ·       A pot of FRESH & HOT coffee ready and patiently waiting for me to stumble upon it after I wake up.  I can practically hear it calling my name….then again I did just wake up and am slightly delusional from the wakeup call that is Monday.  
• ·       Knowing that even though I may have “fat days” or bad hair, I can always count on my power heels to give me that extra boost of confidence I need to get through the day.
• ·       Gossip Girl – I have a date tonight, me, my couch, and the juicy scandal that I never actually want in my own life.  Although I wouldn’t mind if Ed Westwick was… (That’s Chuck Bass for those of you who didn’t know)-- Oh and by the way GG was awesome tonight! 
• ·       My Indie playlist, which includes selections from but is not limited to: Mumford & Sons, Imogen Heap,  Ferraby Lionheart, and The Weepies.  Nothing soothes the nerves better than people that can actually sing.
• ·       When my hair gets curled the night before by a wonderful sister, and when I don’t have to do it the next morning.
• ·       Having Windex fights with my sister.  Yeah that’s right, we do that! Don’t judge!
• ·       Homemade chili and biscuits.

And this is a special post because I got to see my beautiful Jessica today and she also took the pictures for me today! Thanks love! So here is a little extra loveliness that you get to enjoy!
