Ok, I know I have a lot of catching up to do, and maybe I should apologize for not posting for an entire week, but I'm not gonna.  It has been just one of those weeks. You know what I'm talking about.  The ones that have you beating your head against a hard object, like say, a wall?  

And to be quite honest, I almost didn't post tonight, but what can I say? I just love ya'll soooo much I couldn't resist! 

Anywhoodles, just in case you missed the awesomeness in the above photos, let me suggest you go back.  That is sister #5 and isn't she adorable?  She sorta hijacked my outfit photos, and I can't say that it was a bad thing.  You can totally tell that she grows up in a house full of teenage girls.  She is always posing for the camera and asking for her own lipgloss.  (Even as I type this she is walking around with her hands eagle-spread and touching everything gingerly because she has "wet" nails...did I mention she got them painted over 45 minutes ago?) 

I also took the above loveliness about 10 minutes before I had to leave to go to dinner with a bunch of gals from my office.  And let me just say that it was a dinner to remember! It just doesn't get any better than good food, fabulous ladies, and lots of laughs! Good thing we planned another one! (and its even 2 days before my birthday!)

Oh and I did manage to take  more than one set of outfit pictures in the last week(give me some credit!), but I'm going to pace myself.  And you, my friends, get to be patient! Muahahaha!

The Innerworkings of a fashionably twisted mind

Sometimes I wonder what happens all around the world.  What inspires people to be who they are?  What’s everyday life like in countries a few time zones away from my own?  Am I the only one who comes up with these random thoughts?  I want to know what happens across the sea.  I want to know about the little secrets that isn’t blasted across the media.  What goes on in households across this great world of ours?  Are we all the same?  Or do I live in a small box that is Utah and all around me is people leading wonderful and glamorous lives?

And this is what runs through my mind as I browse through my LookBook account.  Yes, it’s true. Looking at other people’s interpretations of style sends me into a pensive world of self-reflection and inquisitorial considerations.

…and then boredom sets in which leads me to create beautiful works of art, using my face and the photo booth app on my Mac.

Love&Loathe ... Wednesday?

I'm behind, I know! But, like the ol' sayin goes- "better late than never!" (Work with me people!)

Loathe

- When you buy a new necklace and it breaks the first time you wear it.
- When you don’t try something on at the store and then find out that it does not fit your Texas sized hips. (because everything’s bigger in Texas ya’ll)
- Going to every Redbox within a 10 mile radius of your house, only to find that NONE of them have the movie you wanted.
- Being wayyyy behind on my bog posts because life does indeed, catch up with you. (Not hard in my case; I can't run very fast!)



Love

- When you find the perfect blazer and it just happens to go with everything!
- Getting your nails done-for FREE. Girlfriends are the best.
- When you order something online and it finally arrives. And then your elation brought on by the arrival is heightened because you love what you got even more than when you saw it on your computer screen. Buyer’s remorse be damned!
- When my bank account is as happy as I am.
- Realizing that my birthday is a mere 5 weeks away! (FYI it’s kind of a big deal)
- The fact that I never regret having a salad for lunch.
- Going to redbox two days later and finding the above mentioned movie, and watching it last night. :)

So pretty much I am a rebel and I wore white pants before Memorial Day. I got a strange hair and bought them online and on sale! Double whammy!
As for these shoes, they take Ccccourage to pull off.  I personally LOVE them.
Now, the blazer.  I have been searching for a perfect blazer for a long time. Well, I found it!

 Hey ya'll! First off I'd like to start off with a big fat

Happy St. Patty's Day!!   

Second, i'd just like to say how awesome change is.  Random much? I know, it's kind of like my super powers. 

Any who, what i'm trying to get at is this: This year has been a year of change.  Firstly, I have been parting my hair right smack down the middle.  Insignificant change you may say, but for me, this is kind of a big deal.  I think the last time I didn't do a deep side part was waayyyy back in elementary school.  (For all you jokesters out there, no that was not last week) 

Another change? Tights.  Another one of the fashion throwbacks I've been reverting to. Actually, now that I think about it, I think I am reverting back to my childhood.  I think my outfit today actually confirms that suspicion. All I need is some pigtails and a lollipop!

Therapy: Girl Style

Hey guys! I am very sorry, it has been a minute since I posted last. Let's just say it has been a rough couple of days. 

I got in a car accident on Thursday... don't worry, I didn't get hurt or anything-- just my car did. :( 

Sad huh? 

Well anywho, I'm off to have some much needed girl time with Sister #1. (She finally returned after being gone a week!)

Sometimes I think I’m cool... And then reality kicks in.

Today is Tuesday.  And Tuesdays are boring.  They kind of get lost in the mix of all the days of the week.  They aren’t cool like the weekend, and they aren’t as horrible as Monday(Unless Monday is a holiday and then it’s sort of an honorary Monday, but I digress).  Well this Tuesday is special, and will go down in the history of Tuesdays.  On this Tuesday, the 8^th of March, I bought a purse. And not just any purse, mind you.  It is a purse that is NOT BLACK! 

                Whats the big dealio you ask?  Well, I have a pretty colorful closet, and I usually compensate for that with a boring, match-everything-in-my-closet-because-its-neutral, black purse.  They vary in size and shape, but they are almost always black.  So I went crazy and bought this lovely pewter (hey baby steps people) purse with a matching wallet.  I know, I know- girl gone crazayy!

P.S. No I did not wait until I got home to empty my current purse and wallet. I did that right when I got back to the office.

P.S.S. I went shopping on my lunch break.



Love&Loathe Monday

Loathe:

-  When you dress for a lovely spring day, and it starts snowing hardcore by 5 pm.

- Winter nights without a snuggle buddy.

- When your red lipstick smudges and you look like a character out of a horror novel.

Love:

-When your darling sister #2 stops by your work for a surprise afternoon visit.

- When sister#3 jokingly follows a trend you’ve been seriously talking about.

- When you can come home and slip into some comfy boyfriend jeans.

- Café Rio chicken tostadas.  If you have yet to experience this culinary wonder you better get on it-Stat!

- Fabulous weekends with girlfriends, old and new.

-Facebook stalking.  This could be considered an Olympic sport for some people.

- When I say things like “Same page, same chapter, same freaking book.”

-Burlesque.

-The Burlesque soundtrack.

- Christina Aguilera’s voice on the Burlesque soundtrack.

- The fact that I have WAYYYY more Loves than Loathes today. 

- Oh yeah... and that wonderful life juice called coffeecoffeecoffee.... mmmm warms my tummy :) 

Yeah.. About that ...

Hello my lovelies! Now I know I didn’t post yesterday and I am very sorry! I had an entire post typed up and then accidently didn’t save it!  I know, I know! What was I thinking?! Forgive me? You will?! Phew! I’m glad we got past that!

Now that we are besties again I would like to play a little game called “I love it when…”.   Now this may sound like a positive little fun trip, but knowing me it could quickly turn sarcastic.  Alright, we ready? OK!

·       I love it when you get that accomplished feeling after EVERY assignment you finish successfully.

·       I love it when you just stick a bite of food into your mouth only to have the phone ring.

·       I love it when your 2^nd day curl turns out better than the first.

·       I love it when you realize that it is, in fact, Thursday, and that Friday is a mere HOURS away.

·       I love it when you are happy and someone automatically assumes it is the product of a guy.. even though there is no guy, and you just HAPPEN to be in a good mood. (this didn’t stop me from blushing, however)

·       I love it when it rains…which it has been doing ALL day.  Makes me want to pull out some brightly colored galoshes and jump in some puddles!

·       I love it when you hear a song that makes you want to get up and dance EVERYTIME you hear it.

·       I love it when I get to have Yummy homemade quiche for dinner.

·       AND … I love it when I get to go home and get in my snuggly pants.
